Now its time to bring it back!

Okay, Ive been gone for too long. I said to myself when I first got this blog "I'm gonna do this everyday" but honestly I'm not so tech savvy so this should be interesting. Regardless I will keep posting. I may not be big now but one day  I will have some followers lol. Eitherway here are some cool websites (Some old and some new that all people should check out)

This one is called Polyvore.  It is essentially a website where you can go and design your own outfits and it is oober fun.

The second is called Offbeat Bride which offers creative alternatives for up and coming brides. Now I am not getting married and I am not a punk rocker or anything but I am a dork who devoted 5 pages of her journal to her dream bohemian hippy wedding in California....Just saying : ) Its pretty awesome.

The third is called Le coil a tumblr website for Natural girls. It is perfect hair style inspiration for all : )

Face Mask Review

Hey so I got this face mask recipe from  NaturallyCurly.com a while back. Naturally Curly is a website for all natural people. I have been a natural girl for the last two years and honestly I am OBSESSED with this website.
Anywhoo, the recipe was simple:

Sour cream
Cocoa powder
Honey
Olive oil
a Banana

I didnt really go by exact measurements or anything. I just mixed until I thought it had a good consistency. The results.....MY FACE FELT WONDERFUL : ) There was a little bit of tingling going on while it was drying which I thought was some weird allergic reaction but after I removed it my face was shiny and smooth. I am also pleased with how cheap it all was (practically free). I had a chocolate face mask before that I bought from Eco Bella for 20$ and I was in love with it. Now that its all gone I think I will be choosing the homemade recipe over the store bought one for future spa dates.
SO, if you have a hot date and want a bit of glow, or you just need some R and R and are short 20 bucks give this one a try.

Spring has Sprung

So now that spring is here in Chicago it is time to start expecting some unreliable weather. I remember when I first came to the city I knew nothing about fashion survival. In fact there were plenty of times where my feet froze or I ended up sweltering in a sweater because I just did not know how to dress for the temperature changes. The answer: lots of layering. Today I decided to brave the Chicago spring day (A high of 53 degrees) by trying out some shorts I got from forever 21 yesterday. I completed the outfit by layering some tights under, tucking in a tee and throwing on a sweater. The hat was something I took with me just because I was feeling funky. Check it out! 

Who wears short shorts??!!! Okay so they aren't that short but they make me feel extra sassy lol

So what do people think when they decide to start a blog? I mean with all of the ways of advertising your self now a days why do people need an entire page devoted to talking about their life. Well simple. Because its fun : )
But really, I was thinking about all of the things I love to do in life. I am in school for acting,I sing, I love fashion and makeup, I sew and I like to take old things and redecorate them. I want to do many things in this life and lets face it pimpin aint easy lol. So what better way to reflect, research and connect with other people than a blog? So here I am world!!! I'm making my own way!! Hope you like what I'm thrownin' down!

First order of business is this super cool website I found while face stalking one of my friends. Its called "Off beat bride" and honestly after seeing exactly what the site was about I have to say one of my goals in life is to totally be featured here.  Every single girl in the word thinks about their wedding (in fact I have a whole section in one of my journals devoted to it) so if your looking for a way to spice up your wedding (if your currently planning one) or you just need to stop and day dream for a while please check this one out.
Actually that was my only order of business haha.
